Information on Choosing the Right Water Filter

Pall Kleenpak Legionella Filter or Pall-Aquasafe Water Sterilizer

Here's a simple rule of thumb.
Pall Kleenpak Legionella Filter:
If your need is for a non-medical application, such as residential buildings, commercial buildings, hotels, schools, sports facilities, swimming pools, or nursing homes, the Pall Kleenpak Legionella Filter should be the right choice.

Pall-Aquasafe Water Sterilizer for the medical field:
However, if you plan to use it for a medical application in a domestic setting, such as rinsing an open wound or if a resident has an immunodeficiency disease, the sterile Pall-Aquasafe Water Sterilizer is preferable.
In hospitals, medical practices, nursing homes, and elderly care, the Pall-Aquasafe Water Sterilizer is used successfully.

If you are unsure which filter is right for you, we are happy to provide you with personal advice.

Before placing an order, you should check which connection the filter should be attached to and which quick coupling you will need for it.

For Showers with a Shower Hose

At this connection, you can attach the Pall Kleenpak Legionella Filter KAQF4 and the Pall-Aquasafe Water Sterilizer AQF4.

At the Sink

The choice here depends on your intended use.
For simple hand washing, the Pall Kleenpak Legionella Filter KAQ31F1S or the Pall-Aquasafe Water Sterilizer AQ31F1S are suitable.
These have a concentrated water stream, similar to a "normal" faucet.

Optionally, you can temporarily attach the Shower Rose to the sink filters.
The shower rose provides a fan-shaped spray for rinsing or showering.

Alternatively, you can also connect the Pall Kleenpak Legionella Filter KAQ31F1R or the Shower Rose Pall-Aquasafe Water Sterilizer AQ31F1R to the sink.
These filters come with a shower rose, and the water stream is fan-shaped, similar to a shower, making them ideal for rinsing or washing items.

For Showers with Wall Outlets

In this case, the Pall Kleenpak Legionella Filter KAQ31F1R or the Pall-Aquasafe Water Sterilizer AQ31F1R with a shower rose are used.

Here Are Some Tips for Choosing the Right Quick Coupling

Quick Coupling for Showers with Shower Hoses

Choosing the adapter is straightforward because shower hoses are standardized in Germany.
We recommend the Shower Filter Quick Coupling, 1/2 Inch, with External Thread and Water Stop for this application.
This means that when the filter is removed from the quick coupling, no water can escape from the shower hose.
Quick couplings without a water stop can allow contaminated water to escape when the filter is removed, posing a risk to the user.
Quick couplings with flow restrictors are intended for systems with low water pressure, such as in caravans, on ships, trains, or similar settings.

Quick Coupling for Sinks

Generally, water faucets in Germany are equipped with a 24mm external thread or a 22mm internal thread (fine thread).
In exceptional cases, especially in older buildings or in basements where a hose might be connected, a 1/2 inch thread may be present.
The 1/2 inch thread looks coarser than the aforementioned threads.
For sinks, we recommend a quick coupling with a water stop, similar to the recommendation for shower hoses.

Quick Coupling for Showers with Wall Outlets

Typically, these shower connections have a 1/2 inch connection.
Please pay attention to the thread type (internal or external thread) when placing your order.
For wall showers, we also recommend a quick coupling with a water stop.
You may need the 60° Angle Adapter to connect the quick coupling at the correct angle.
